Information about Ron Johan Rum.
When “Steirisch” craftsmanship meets exotic raw materials, then the Ron Johan Rum is created. Ron stands for the Caribbean part, the boisterous, passionate and Johan for Erzherzog Johann of Austria (1782-1859), the important modernizer who loved Steiermark.

THE BEGINNINGS
“Ever since my father, Alois Gölles, created the first chocolate spirit together with chocolatier Josef Zotter in 2006, we have had rum at home. From the beginning we were enthusiastic about the taste of the then still pure white spirit. Every year smaller quantities found their way into the barrel and today our greatest luck, as we can fall back on reserves that are more than 10 years old. ”

Ruotker’s is the next generation from Gölles. It’s David Gölles and Katharina Fleck – new ways, new ideas, new products and new tastes. Ruotker’s is also a piece of local ties and love for the region in which we are allowed to produce and mature our distillates.

Since September 2019 Ruotker’s has also been a house in southeast Styria, where friends of good taste are welcome guests. A house for whiskey, gin and rum.
