PUJOL RUM

Ron Pujol is a rum from the Spanish region of Catalonia.

In the 17th century, the movement of sailors around the world led to rum from the West Indies making its way to the Costa Brava and into the hearts of the Spaniards who lived there. This new drink became so popular that Ron Pujol was founded in 1818 and has remained successful ever since. To make Pujol, you need a base of excellent sugar cane. The sugar cane for Pujol is cut by hand at the height of maturity and processed until a fine sugar cane molasses is obtained. It is then aged in oak barrels until a product is obtained worthy of the name Pujol.

In Cataluña, Pujol is traditionally used to make ron cremat, “roasted rum”. This drink is made from lemon zest, coffee beans, sugar and cinnamon that is put on fire. This recipe is the perfect hot drink for a cold night spent on the beach singing shanties!

It is 100% rum in aroma and taste. Due to its softness on the palate, this rum is the perfect addition to a shot of espresso. This is because Pujol is made for mixing. Try it in one of your favorite rum-based cocktails
